PUP Presents Research Paper in International Scientific Gathering

The SciTech R and D Center in collaboration with the College of Science presented two research undertakings during the 27th Philippine Chemistry Congress, 2012 Asia-Pacific Conference on Analytical Science and 3rd Regional Electrochemistry Meeting of South-East Asia with the theme “Crossing Junctions in Chemistry Towards Global Oneness.” This was held last April 11-13, 2012 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Metro Manila.

The papers presented were: “Voltammetric Determination of Pb+2 Ion Using Carbon Paste Electrode Modified with Small Mandarin Orange (Citrus reticulate var. deliciosa Blanco) Peel Essential Oil” by Lorna T. Enerva, Jordan F. Madrid, Rosean L. Balderam, Hazel Joy H. Basa, John Edsent S. David, Pastor B. Malaborbor and Normita A. Villa; and “Antimicrobial and Cytotoxicity of the Secondary Metabolites of the Leaf Extract of Annonamuricata (Guyabano)” by Ofelia B. Villamor, Pastor B. Malaborbor and Normita A. Villa.
