Employees check on the list of vacant positions
Two days after, the Office of the Vice President for Administration, through the Human Resources Management Department (HRMD), made public the list of vacant positions for both the first level and second level posts.According to the HRMD, the available positions were also posted in the PUP website to welcome applications from other job-seekers outside PUP who are willing to dedicate their life in government service particularly in PUP.
The deadline for submission of applications was initially set on June 29 for the Mabini Campus applicants and July 2 for those coming from the other branches and campuses. However, the President, during the July 13 meeting with Unyon ng mga Kawani sa PUP (UNAKA-PUP), agreed to extend the deadline to give chance to those employees who failed to comply with the June 29 deadline.
According to the list, there are eighty one (81) first level positions and thirty (30) second level positions available. First level posts are for the utility and clerical services. Applicants for the utility post must have secondary education and job-related experience while those applying for clerical positions must have reached at least second year of tertiary education and with civil service eligibility. Meanwhile, the administrative positions belonging to the second level requires applicants to have at least completed their baccalaureate courses relevant to each job description and career service eligibility (second level) as mandatory requirement.
To date, 249 applications are being evaluated for first level job descriptions while there are 104 applicants for the second level positions received by the Office of the Vice President for Administration.
