PUP Films dominate Crame Awards: 2nd PNP Film Festival

Congratulations!

Alon, a film about a retiring police officer was hailed big winner taking home 8 trophies including the coveted Best Picture (Student Category).  The other film Kidnap also shined in the festival for the Indie/Professional Category.  The film directed and written by Hector Barreto Calma won two major awards:  Best Editing and Best Supporting Actor.

Alon, which was produced by the PUP Film Center (now Creative Media Services Office) , Lakandayang Cultural Association, Teatro Komunikado and PUP Film Society (now CMAS), bagged the following awards: Best Director, Luisito Antonio; Best Actor, Rener Concepcion; Best Supporting Actor, Cesar Batistis; Best Child Performer, Mark Angelo Murillo; Best Cinematography , Hector Calma; Best Musical Scoring, Denise Gail Tumibay and Ivan Cadiente; and Best Story/Screenplay,  Kriztine Viray and Gail Tumibay.
