Welcome to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines
(PUP)!
The PUP vision towards a total university is to achieve quality
and excellence in education through scholarship for the mass-based
Filipinos. For this reason, the PUP stands today as the state
university with the biggest enrolment in the Philippines, if not in
Asia or in the world. This is the mandate of the University – to
offer affordable but quality tertiary education to more than 50,000
students admitted yearly. The Office of the Executive Vice-President
(OEVP) assists the Office of the President formulate policies and
administrative issuances to create a strong organization that will
foster academic linkages and cooperation at the international,
national and community levels. Directly reporting to the Office of
the President, this Office is the link or the conduit that provides
coordination and consultative services to the other Vice Presidents
of the University so that together they can explore the programs and
services offered by the University to the nation and its people.
This achieved, the PUP can live up to its name, an epitome of a
genuine people-centered institution.
On a concurrent capacity as the Director of the International
Affairs Office, the EVP takes the pivotal role in entering academic
exchanges, agreements and networking programs with local and foreign
colleges/universities.
