Laboratory High School Entrance Exam

General Information for Freshmen Admission.

Issuance of PUP-LHSEE 2009 Application Forms is on October 13, 2008.


General Requirements
Graduates of accredited elementary schools may be admitted as freshmen at the PUP Laboratory High School on the following basis:

  1. Performance in the PUP-LHSEE;

  2. Weighted average in Grade 6 or 7; and

  3. Result of psychological test and interview.

There is no minimum elementary school grade requirement for taking the PUP-LHSEE.  Eligible to take tests are students who have not taken the entrance test previously and have not taken or taking any subjects in any accredited high school.


Specific Requirements
Every Applicant must submit the following:

  • Three (3) pieces identical 1 ½ inch x 1 ½ inch ID pictures with applicant's name pictured on the photo;

  • Application Fee of PhP 100.00; and

  • One (1) long window envelope with stamp.


Instructions To PUP-LHSEE Applicants:

  1. Go to the Cashier's Office at the Ground Floor, South Wing and pay the PUP-LHSEE Application Fee;

  2. Submit the receipt of payment to the Registrar's Office at the LHS Building (in front of Main Library) for a PUP-LHSEE Application Form;

  3. Read instructions carefully and fill out the forms properly using no. 2  pencil;

  4. Follow the instructions correctly including the marking instructions. Applications with marking errors will be rejected by the machine. Application Form is OMR (Optical Machine Reader) machine processed, hence, request for second Application Form will be allowed only after paying another one hundred pesos (PhP 100.00);

  5. Submit your properly filled out Application Form to the LHS Registrar's Office and get your Examination Permit. Always verify your Permit Number;

  6. Read and understand the instructions and reminders at the back of the Permit;

  7. Come on the specified date and time of your Examination. Keep your Test Permit. Change of schedule is not allowed. NO PERMIT, NO EXAM.
