The College of Cooperatives is a proactive exponent in PUP' s creation of humanist, just and empowering environment.

Mission

To respond to the growing need for relevant and continuing cooperative education and services towards  economic self-reliance, social responsibility and cooperativism as a way of life.

Goals

  • Promote and strengthen cooperative education, both formal and non-formal
  • Provide nationalist, scientific, democratic and pro-people education
  • Heighten the research culture and strengthen the research programs
  • Develop competence and expertise of faculty members
  • Exhibit virtues of social discipline and self reliance
  • Make the College one of the most adequate training centers in the country

Objectives

  • Offer degree and non-degree courses in Cooperatives
  • Provide training courses in Organizational, Management, Business, Finance, Audit and Human Resources Development to cooperatives at all levels
  • Undertake research and disseminate findings through appropriate media and fora
  • Set up exchange programs, scholarships, consortia, and professorial chairs
  • Engage in advocacy work, linkages and networking towards mainstreaming the cooperatives in the country
  • Partner with cooperatives in community development projects and extension services
  • Engage in faculty development programs through scholarships, fellowships, study visits, exchanges and exposures
