Vision

In consonance with the vision of PUP, �Towards a Total University�, the CEFP envisions itself as an engine of change that will propel the University into the ranks of internationally recognized institutions of higher learning in the ASEAN region, and deliver quality and socially responsive education in the fields of Economics, Banking and Finance, Political Science, Public Administration and Governance.


Mission

To develop competent economics, banking and finance, political science and public administration professionals, imbued with a strong sense of moral values and patriotism, and committed to harness their expertise in the promotion of national development.


Objectives

Towards the achievement of its vision and mission, the CEFP commits itself to:

  • Upgrade scientific and technical competence of faculty, staff, and administrators through continuous capability enhancement programs, both internal and external, geared towards addressing areas for improvement and achieving superior results;
     
  • Encourage faculty members to pursue and complete the highest possible graduate study programs relevant to their respective fields of specialization;
     
  • Institutionalize a culture of research-based instruction and policy recommendations by promoting a spirit of healthy competition among faculty members through publication of their scientific work, in refereed scholarly journals;
     
  • Promote synergy-based research that CEFP may sponsor by tapping the services of faculty members across its different programs;
     
  • Goad all faculty members to become members of nationally and internationally recognized professional organizations to provide them avenues for social and intellectual interactions with their peers;
     
  • Establish linkages with various industry associations and pertinent government and non-government organizations in order to assess compatibility/relevance of the College�s curricular offerings to the thrusts/needs/demands of both private and public sectors;
     
  • Strengthen the ethical content of the College�s curricular programs in order to enhance the moral values of students;
     
  • Create an adequate pool of quality graduates from the undergraduate programs to serve as �feeders� for the University�s graduate study programs;
     
  • Promote faculty/student exchange study programs with other universities/colleges abroad, at least in the ASEAN region; and
     
  •  Promote income-generating projects/programs for the College/University.
