Polytechnic University of the Philippines

The College of Languages and Linguistics is one of PUP’s professionally oriented colleges existing for more than 20 years.  Originally from the College of Languages and Mass Communication, the CLL emerged as an independent college in 2001.  Established with two departments namely Department of English, Foreign Languages, and Linguistics and Department of Filipinology, the college continuously provides excellent, multidisciplinary and comprehensive course of study providing avenues for improvement in language teaching and language learning.

The CLL is proud of its Level III Accredited Status (a national recognition) which was conferred last March 2008.  The realization of this distinction was accomplished through the concerted efforts of the faculty and students who are engaged in incomparable language learning and teaching, linguistics, research, extension, community service, production, local and international linkage forging, and stakeholder empowerment.

This college envisions itself as a powerhouse of academic excellence in proffering a multitude of employment opportunities for quality students who are more than ready to face the diverse global challenges.
