In consonance with the PUP Vision, the PUP GS commits itself to foster excellence in all key dimensions of graduate education: instruction, research, extension, community service, production, industry-academe partnerships, local and international linkages, and stakeholders’ empowerment.

  • provide leadership in the administration, supervision, management and evaluation of the graduate school programs and projects;
  • develop and undertake quality, relevant and responsive graduate programs in disciplines deemed crucial to the attainment of national development thrusts;
  • formulate and initiate programs for the continuing professional growth and development of faculty members in the area of research, publication and production;
  • undertake research and development studies that will improve graduate instruction;
  • plan and implement extension services and community involvement programs; and
  • take the lead role in enhancing the quality of education towards global competitiveness and world-class scholarship.

Managing and supervising the Graduate School is a Dean who is assisted by Program Chairs and the Graduate School Secretary.

It has a Graduate School Research Development and Production Office which plans, implements and evaluate research activities to ensure effective development of research studies to help meet local and national priority needs and takes charge of the production of journals, thesis/dissertation abstracts, monographs, newsletters, and other publications.

The extension and community services provided by the Graduate School are taken care of by its Extension and Community Services Center.  In coordination with the Program Chairs and in consultation with the Dean, it prepares packaged programs on extension services in accordance with the University’s directions and thrusts and the program’s expertise and  services.   

Now Level III accreditated by the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP), the Graduate School maintains an Accreditation Center to keep in order the documents needed for accreditation.

To date, the Graduate School has one hundred twenty (120) faculty members, servicing its 18 graduate degree programs.
