The leader of the country's first polytechnic and largest university congratulated the 7,265-strong Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Class of 2015 and reminded the new graduates of their civic responsibilities. "A PUP graduate, instilled with a strong sense of nationalism and social consciousness, leaves the institution guided by moral uprightness and relevant intellectual proficiencies," PUP President Dr. Emanuel C. De Guzman said. "Let us make sure that we share these knowledge and values we have acquired in our Sintang Paaralan to the rest of the Filipino people," Dr. De Guzman stated. "Your PUP family is very proud of you in what you have achieved as students, and we know that the quality of Edukasyong Dose Pesos will make you better servants of this country," Dr. De Guzman added. The incumbent PUP President is also an alumnus of the 110-year-old University. He obtained his baccalaureate degree in Sociology from PUP in the early 1990s.
