The College of Accountancy- Alumni Association Incorporated (COA-AAI) donated books to the newly opened COA Study Room at the fifth floor, dome of the Main Building on November 24, 2011.

Prof. Silvia A. Sarmiento, president of COA Alumni Association, on behalf of COA-AAI, handed 42 books to College of Accountancy Dean, Prof. Cecilia Mercado. The books are primarily about Accounting, Taxation, Law, Computer and Management. The book donation was witnessed by the Board of Directors Association, Chairpersons and the College faculty members.

“This is just the start of our book donation drive. There are more to come. I am communicating with the Alumni to donate more books for the study room,” Prof. Sarmiento said. =

Aside from the book donation, the COA-AAI has been giving financial assistance to the College of Accountancy. They initiated the renovation of the accounting classrooms including repainting and replacing of blackboards to whiteboards. The association also renovated the study room for the accountancy students.

Prof. Sarmiento remarked, “COA-AAI works in partnership with the College of Accountancy in giving quality education to the BSA students. This is also our way of helping the University.”

The study room open to BSA students is sure to be visited frequently because of the study assistance and convenience they get there.
