Lab High 3rd place in Achievement Exam
PUP Public Affairs Office IMM, PUP News, Volume VI, Issue No. 17, September 1-15,2009True to its commitment, PUP-Laboratory High School remained no. 3 among the public schools in Manila in the recent National Achievement Test 2009 held on March 11, 2009 from 7am to 1pm.
Garnering 61.80% passing rate, PUP-Laboraty High School proved its competence and excellence once again.
Along with a total of 140 second year students who represented PUP-Laboratory High School, Mikarla Maiye T. Arguilles gathered the most scores with 83.33 % in all subjects including Filipino, Mathematics, Science, English and Social Studies.
After five months of assessing the results, the Division of City Schools in Manila brought the good news. In an interview, Principal Prof. Corazon C. Tahil of the PUP Laboratory High School cannot hide her happiness while sharing LHS' achievement.
"We kept motivating the students, providing them schedules for review and reminding them that it's their duty to maintain our rank or exceed it", said Prof. Tahil.
According to her it is not just the exam results that flattered her, "Toboso High School from Marikina, the proctor of this year's examination, was impressed with our students because they are well-disciplined and can easily follow instructions," she stressed.
Dr. Dante Guevarra, congratulated PUP-Lab High for the job well done.
Prof. Corazon Tahil also looks forward for the result of the National Career Assessment Examination 2009 taken this August 2009.
"This time I challenged the students that we should not remain no.2. We should strive to be number one," she added.
