Greetings of Peace and Welcome to our Website!
The PUP Open University System has come a long way from its humble beginnings in the early 1970s. Today, we offer different graduate courses and practically all baccalaureate non-board courses among the three schools that make up the system.
At present we have more than two thousand students enrolled. They are spread among the School of Distance Learning, School of Open Learning and School of Professional Studies. The expansion of the Open University system was brought about by the constant need to adapt to the changing needs of the times. In the Information Age we are now in, there is a greater demand for open and distance education.
We are hopeful that we will be able to reach out further to help those who are in need of open and distance learning as we are truly "committed to provide quality education through the open and distance learning system, which is responsive to the needs and challenges of a technologically advanced and globally linked society."
