The School of Open Learning is a unit of the PUP Open University System that delivers highly specialized Diploma and Certificate programs at a time, place, modalities and pace which are convenient to the learners and correspond to their opportunities and needs.
Message from the School Director
Changes in the social and educational environments require changes and improvements in the various parts of our operations here in the PUP Open University System (PUP OUS) in order to strengthen our status as one of the country’s pioneering leaders in Open and Distance Learning (ODL). Realizing the need and demand for other alternative learning systems that take advantage of the recent developments in ICT, the university introduced the School of Open Learning (SOL) in 2008.
The SOL offers highly specialized, flexible, self-paced and customized programs(initially Diploma and Certificate) suited to your personal and professional needs. We provide opportunities for goal-oriented, self aware and responsible individuals like you to direct your own learning through the able assistance of our competent subject specialists and service-oriented student-support staff who are trained to value your individual differences.
