To effectively prepare the whole community in times of calamities and disasters, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) conducted an earthquake drill on Monday, October 7, 2019. All students, faculty, and staff in the Main Campus, NDC compound, and Hasmin Hostel joined the exercises.
Magkaroon ng presence of mind.
During the evacuation exercises, all subject-teachers and class presidents took account of their respective classes. All students and staff were accounted for, while facilities were also secured, according to the report of the Safety and Security Office. The University Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (UDRRMC) under the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) spearheaded this regular exercise, in close coordination with the following offices: NSTP, General Services Office, Communication Management Office, Information and Communications Technology Office, Safety and Security, and Medical Services. ###
