The Polytechnic University of the Philippines formally signed a partnership agreement with ABS-CBN in a ceremony held on January 18, 2019 at the ABS-CBN Compound in Quezon City.
ABS-CBN, one of the largest media organizations in the country, said in an official statement that the partnership aims to “ensure a comprehensive, fair, and accurate coverage of the elections while committing to give voters a platform to air their concerns and participate in the national discourse.”
PUP President, Dr. Emanuel C. De Guzman, with Vice President for Research, Extension and Development, Dr. Anna Ruby P. Gapasin, represented PUP in the covenant signing alongside 20 organizations from government, non-government, and education sectors.
It is the second time for PUP and ABS-CBN to partner for election-related activities, which started in the 2016 national elections.
