For the second straight year, PUP- Department of Advertising and Public Relations was named grand champion at the Philippine Association of National Advertisers’ (PANA) 2019 PANA-Naw Awards held last November 23 at Assumption College- Makati.
With the goal of creating a communication plan for Rebisco’s Tostas, PUP-ADPR came up with the campaign titled: “Deserve Mo Two,” beating out 24 other participants to retain the title. Among the top five contestants were Ateneo de Manila University, Miriam College, University of Sto. Tomas, and the University of the Philippines- Visayas.
The winning team was composed of presenters Eunice Datoy, Margaret Maguigad, Zebedy San Agustin and Mark Jonnie Lapidez; presenter and copy head Justine Cagalingan; art head Diane Mae Duran; strategy heads Rose Gail Conchada and Ericson Dacanay; research head Elylia Beatriz Monzon; production heads Jullianne Ladisla and Kernel Marasigan; media head Diether Charlez Tizon; and team leader Jaizeen Ynot.
In recognition of their efforts, the champion received 75,000 pesos, plaque of recognition, and medals. Last year, they also won the award for producing a material on responsible and sustainable tourism.
The PANAF Brand Communications Students' Competition centers on the advancement of young marketing students and gives them an opportunity to make a marketing plan for an actual brand, serving as a training ground for the growth of future advertisers. ###
