In celebration of National Reading Month, the Institute of Technology held story-making and book cover-making contests that aim to showcase the creativity and skills of ITech students in the fields of literary and visual arts.
The Story Making Contest was held on November 13 to 18, 2021, where Ms. Jaydine Viola from the Diploma in Information Communication Technology (DICT) 1-5 with her entry “Salvia Divinorum” won first place. Meanwhile, Ms. Rhea Elisa Gomez from the Diploma in Officer Management (DOMT) 1-4 emerged as the winner in the Book Cover Making Contest.
Among the judges in the story-making contest were award-winning authors and theater actors Ms. Maribeth Casanova, Ms. Mia Alfonso, and Mr. David John Reyes, while Ms. Ma. Christina Iris Gunsay, Ms. Valerie Severino, Mr. Paul Sabado who are experts in visual graphics presentations and won various awards in the fields of advertising, animated film, and commercial pitch project served as the judges in the book cover making contest.
