College of Business Administration (CBA) students Jeam Rodillo, Virgel Antiporda, Paolo Navales, Jefferson Sejalvo, Shirlyn Rostata, Paulo Alparaz and Ronnel Lazaro made waves as representatives of Business Torch (BT) publication during the 9th School Press Advisers Movement, Inc. (SPAM) National Media Confab in Mambajao, Camiguin last October 27-29.
Rodillo, Antiporda, Navales and Sejalvo’s team topped the short film competition. Rostata ranked fourth in the digital photography tilt while Alparaz and Sejalvo placed seventh in the editorial cartooning and lead writing contests, respectively.
BT adviser Joseph M. Lardizabal also attended the conference along with CBA faculty members Emejidio Gepila Jr., Perry David Solosa, Melinda De Guzman, Jennifer Munsayac and Cresilda Bragas. Lardizabal served as facilitator of the collaborative publishing workshop and competition.
This year’s SPAM confab had 368 delegates from 60 schools nationwide.
