Sheena Caranto Doria, from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Sta. Mesa Campus placed 8th in the September 2016 Elementary Education Licensure Examination.
Doria garnered an average score of 86.60. She tied with Shiena Mae Tagatac Aciera from Mariano Marcos State Unviersity-Laoag, Romulo Nuguit Bendo from Kabankalan Catholic College, Ralph Christian Visaya Currimao from Mariano Marcos State Unviersity-Laoag, Nover Dacutan Esteban from Isabela State University-E-Changue, Butch Noriel Ancheta Lambit from Occidental Mindoro State College, Jirah Mae Ladilad Mejia from University of the Philippines- Diliman, Blesilda Repato Rosario from Lyceum Northwestern University - Dagupan City and Mariel Ramos Tapadera from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology- Cabanatuan.
Meanwhile, PUP Mulanay claimed the eighth place among the top performing schools with 50 or more examinees with at least 80 percent passing rate for elementary LET. Surpassing the 30.18 national passing rate, PUP Mulanay registered an 82.26 passing percentage. Other branches and campuses also surpassed the national passing rate: PUP Quezon, 34.85; PUP Bataan, 57.45; Cabiao, 33.33, Calauan, 26.67; Sta. Mesa, 93.75; and Unisan, 61.54.
Meanwhile, PUP Taguig claimed the ninth slot among the top performing schools for secondary education teachers with 81.69 passing percentage. Among the PUP branches and campuses that surpassed the 33.78 national passing rate were: Quezon, 40.00; Commonwealth, 47.62; Lopez, 42.71; Sta. Mesa, 57.21; Maragondon, 40.98; San Pedro, 37.50; San Juan, 47.06; Sta. Rosa, 54.41; and Sto. Tomas, 63.16.
The results were released on November 28, 2016.
