College of Computer and Information Sciences (CCIS) students Mark Jason Fuentes, Emmanuel Joshua Alcartado and John Dominick Lausingco earned for the Philippines the third top spot in the Cyber SEA Game 2015 held in Jakarta, Indonesia from November 10 to 12.
The three-student team from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) competed with thirteen groups from eight other Southeast Asian countries. CCIS Dean Prof. Gisela May A. Albano assisted Fuentes, Alcartado and Lausingco in Indonesia.
A team from Vietnam bagged the grand prize while another team from Thailand placed second in the said regional competition which also drew participants from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar.
