Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) graduates made it into the top ten of the January 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) - Secondary Level.
Out of 22,454 examinees, Maria Jesusa Dela Guerra Diaz ranked sixth with a rating of 91.60% while Mark John Ipinio Gaviola ranked tenth with a rating of 90.80%. Both topnotchers are graduates of the Bachelor of Secondary Education-Major in Social Studies from the College of Education (CoEd).
Meanwhile, PUP Sta. Mesa Campus obtained an overall rating of 83.33%, landing on the fifth place among top performing schools.
Other branches and campuses also performed well in the said licensure examination, demonstrating that the PUP system consistently outperforms the national passing rate.
While the PUP College of Education consistently produces topnotchers and ranks among top performing schools in the LET elementary level, this is the first time that the Main Campus secured spot in the secondary level of LET since its offering in 2009.
The Licensure Examination for Teachers was given last January 30, in 29 testing centers all over the Philippines. Results were released on March 11, 2022.
