The Federation of Filipino Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCI) formally handed over the New Zealand Creamery's 4-classroom building to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Mulanay, Quezon Branch on June 8, 2021.
The event began at 10:00 a.m. with Prof. Abel L. Pelandiana's opening prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.
PUP Mulanay Director Dr. Adelia R. Roadilla gave her welcoming words and acknowledged two remarkable personalities in the realm of charity, Mr. Nelson C. Licup, the Vice Chairman of FFCCII, and Mr. Renato S. Atienza, the District Governor of Rotary International District 3820.
Mr. Nelson C. Licup gave his message during the turnover ceremony stated that education is known to be the greatest equalizer and that knowledge gained through studies enhances not just the mind but also one's capacity for greatness.
"Ang pag-aral ay ang tanging bagay na hindi kailanman mananakaw sa isang tao. Lahat ng ariarian natin ay pwedeng kunin sa iyo, subalit, ang nakamit mong pagtatapos sa iyong pag-aaral ay ang tanging madadala mo hanggang sa huli mong hantungan," Mr. Licup added.
Shortly afterward, Mr. Atienza also delivered his message.
Prof. Luisito I. Asia, Head of PUP Mulanay Academic and Students Services, formally ended the ceremony by highlighting the value of the donated classroom to PUP Mulanay students.
