PUP Calauan Campus extended its help to 17 Barangays in the Municipality of Calauan, Laguna, to commemorate its 12th Founding Anniversary on June 21, 2021, with the theme: "PUP Calauan sa Labindalawang Taong Pagpapayabong ng Karunungan: Bumabangon Kasabay ng Bayan sa Habampanahon."
PUPians in Calauan Campus engraved the "Mula Sa'yo , Para sa Bayan" tag line in their hearts and set the Moving Pantry in motion to help in combating the poverty and empty stomach in this time of the pandemic.
Around 255 food packages which contain eggs, bread, rice, chicken, and ingredients for Tinola and Afritada were distributed to help families to survive another day without being hungry, and sincere prayers to encourage every Calaueños that they can get through these trying times.
Aside from food packages, PUP Calauan also provided hygiene kits, vitamins, and sets of underwear to the children in Hospice of Saint Margarette of Cortona and the women inmates of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Calaunan, Laguna.
PUP Calauan also set up different webinars for diverse set of beneficiaries. Beyond the Limits: Microsoft Excel Webinar Series for the Calauan Barangay Officials and Staff; Don't Panic: Basic Troubleshooting Techniques Webinar for the Hospice Staff to help the ongoing tutorial for the children of Hospice Orphanage; and lastly Business Competency Webinar Series for female inmates in BJMP Los Baños.
These initiatives were made possible with the help of officials, administrative staff, faculty members, students, and alumni's efforts.
