The Center for Public Administration and Governance under the Institute for Social Science and Development conducted a Professorial Chairholder Lecture with Former Senator Aquilino "Nene" Pimentel as a speaker on November 22, 2016 at the Bulwagang Bonifacio Hall of Ninoy Aquino Library and Learning Resource Center.
Former Sen. Pimentel delivered a lecture titled "Federalizing the Republic: the Ultimate Basis for Lasting Peace and Development for our Country" focusing on the issues and challenges in Federalism, and the institutional reforms and prospects under the President Rodrigo Duterte's administration.
After the lecture, several faculty members and students were enjoined to participate in an open forum.
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Manuel M. Muhi, College of Political Science and Public Administration Dean Dr. Sanjay P. Claudio, Center for Public Administration and Governance Chief Antonius C. Umali, and Institute for Social Science and Development Director Dr. Hilda Felipe San Gabriel and other officials from the University graced the event.
