The Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sta. Mesa Campus concluded its relief operations for victims of the Taal Volcano eruption in Sto. Tomas, Tanauan, and Cavite. This was made possible through the generous support of employees, faculty members, alumni and students. Cash donations amounted to P74,800.00, along with 2,293 relief bags. Each relief bag contains food packs, basic medicines, bottled water, clothes and toiletries. The University also donated 500 boxes of assorted clothes, while P20,000.00 worth of medicines and diapers was donated by the Guardian Angels of America Foundation (GAAF) headed by Ms. Loi Herrera.
In an email statement, Engr.
GSO, along with the Extension Management Office (EMO) headed by Director Zandro Estella, jointly spearheaded the month-long relief operations. For a detailed list of cash and in-kind donors, you may coordinate with GSO or EMO.
