National Training on Business Correspondence organized by the Institute of Continuing Professional Development (ICPD) under the Open University System (OUS) was held on September 27 to 28 at the Information Communication Technology Office in the Main Library.
Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Edelyn M. Mariano discussed three modules namely “Simple Grammar in Business Correspondence”, “Do’s and Don’ts in Business Correspondence”, and “Form and Style of Business Letters”. Meanwhile, Prof. Rene Laurente Reyes from the College of Arts and Letters tackled “Writing Memoranda” and "Writing Letters Using Different Electronic Media”. Lastly, Foreign Languages and Linguistics Chairperson Prof. Carlos Garcia dwelt on "Writing Effective Business Letters”.
After every module, workshops were facilitated by the trainers to the participants from PhilHealth, Bulacan State University, PUP Manila, Camarines Sur, Bataan, and Quezon.
