University National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (UDRRMC), led by Mr. Jean Paul G. Martirez, held an earthquake drill on July 31, 2017 to gauge the readiness and prepare faculty members and students in the event of a disaster.
The drill started with a series of siren rings signaling the students to drop, cover, and hold. National Service Training Program or NSTP personnel and faculty members instructed students to walk calmly and proceed to the evacuation areas. When the participants from the main building were gathered at the Oval, Vice President for Administration, Prof. Alberto C. Guillo thanked everyone for cooperating in the first earthquake drill of the school year. Afterwards, Mr. Martirez reminded the participants of the importance of being prepared when a disaster happens.
The drill happened simultaneously in the Main Building, College of Communication, College of Engineering and Architecture, Condotel, and Hasmin Hostel. View Photos
