Student journalists from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines - College of Communication (PUP-COC) won eight (8) awards in the recently concluded The Manila Times Campus Press Awards 2020 held on January 29, 2021 via Facebook live.
The Communicator (DAKOM), the official Student Publication of PUP-COC, bagged 8 out of 11 awards in the prestigious competition including Best Student Publication (College Level), Best College Feature Story (English), Best College Column Story (English), Best Editorial Cartoon, Best Literary Story, Best College Editorial News Story - Filipino (1st runner up), Best News Story (2nd Runner up), and Best Photography (2nd runner up).
This year’s Campus Press Awards was participated in by 44 high schools, colleges, and universities from all over the country. The Manila Times’ annual awards aims to recognize the contribution of student- journalists in nation-building and hopes to inspire their interest in journalism.
