An alumnus of the country’s first polytechnic and largest state university’s Maragondon, Cavite branch topped the recent national board examination for electronics engineers.
Emanuel Seguiran Gabriel ranked 1st among the 907 examinees who passed the March 2014 Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission.
Gabriel emerged as the top performer by obtaining a rating of 86.70% in the said examination which produced for PUP a total of 56 new electronics engineers.
PUP Sta. Mesa posted a 52.24% passing percentage courtesy of its 35 board passers; PUP Sta. Rosa, 61.54% (8); PUP Sto. Tomas, 87.50% (7); PUP Taguig 50.00% (4); and PUP Maragondon, 40.00% (2). The national passing percentage was pegged at 35.23%. PUP Sta. Mesa also managed to produce 13 (72.22%) board passers in the March 2014 Electronics Technician Licensure Examination while PUP Sta. Rosa had 9 (100.00%), PUP Sto. Tomas, 2 (100.00%) and PUP Mariveles, 1 (50.00%) successful test takers.
