Polytechnic University of the Philippines Quality Assurance Center (QAC) Director Dr. Sanjay P. Claudio and College of Political Science and Public Administration (CPSPA) Dean Dr. Antonius C. Umali have been appointed as members of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Technical Evaluators for Public Administration, Management, and Governance through a virtual oathtaking ceremony on held on June 10, 2021.
The ceremony commenced with an opening remark by the Office of the Executive Director Officer-in-charge Atty. Lily Freida Macabangun-Milla followed by the Office of Program and Standards Development (OPSD) Director Dr. Cherrie Melanie Ancheta-Diego presenting the new technical evaluators.
Dr. Claudio is the current President of the Association of Schools of Public Administration in the Philippines (ASPAP), board member of the Philippine Society for Public Administration, and member of the original CHED – NCR Regional Quality Assessment Team for Public Administration and Political Science. Meanwhile, Dean Dr. Umali is also the current Program Chair of Master in Public Administration at PUP Open University System and the Chief of Center for Public Administration and Governance of PUP Manila.
The CHED Technical Evaluators (TEs) are a group of experts whose primary objective is to screen and assess compliance of higher education establishments with the guidelines and ethics set by the Commission.
In pursuant to Commission En Banc Resolution No. 271-2021, the new Technical Evaluators for Public Administration, Management, and Governance are immediately effective from May 4, 2021, to May 3, 2024.
