Kagoshima University (KU) in Japan and Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Exchanges on September 27, 2018 held at the Office of the President, Kagoshima University, Kagoshima City, Japan.
In the newly signed agreement, aside from having an Exchange Student Program from undergraduate to graduate level between the two universities, exchange of teaching and research personnel; exchange of administrative and professional personnel; collaboration of research projects and exchange of publications, data and information were also included.
The President of Kagoshima University, Dr. Yoshizane Maeda together with Dr. Satoru Nishimura and Dr. Makoto Hagino, both professors of Faculty of Law, Economics and Humanities, Dr. Sadao Kiyohara, Executive Vice President for Education and Dr. Keiko Unedaya, Advisor to the President for International Education of KU and PUP representative Prof. Romeo P. Peña, faculty designee from College of Arts and Letters, were present in the signing.
Effectivity of the agreement will last five years from the date it was signed.
