BA Communication Research Students, in their advocacy to save Mother Earth, initiated a clean-up drive activity on March 1, 2016.
Supported by the Center for Environmental Studies, the students called upon the PUP community to participate in the one-day activity.
PUP administrative personnel, students, faculty members, chiefs of offices, chairs, deans, directors, and officials joined the clean-up drive. The PUP community picked up garbage, swept the grounds, and disposed of waste as a form of contribution to save Mother Earth.
The clean-up drive is one of the programs under PROJECT EARTH: A movement to Save Mother Earth, a social marketing project of BA CR third year students. The project aims to increase environmental awareness within the PUP community and to promote good environmental practices among students, faculty members and administrative personnel.
Other activities that the BA CR students also organized, in relation to PROJECT EARTH, were spoken poetry, and photo and video contests, titled "Project eARTh" which showcases multimedia works of students about global warming and climate change.
