The Polytechnic University of the Philippines Santa Rosa Campus conducted a tree planting activity at the Campus ground on September 4, 2021.
The Tree Planting Activity is a joint community service program of the PUP-SRC, the City Agriculture Office of Santa Rosa, and the Kalasag-Makiling Arch of Santa Rosa City Eagles Club.
With the theme, “Plant a Tree, Save A Life,” the activity aims to raise awareness on the importance of planting trees on campuses to have a more conducive learning environment. It also signals the beginning of partnership among PUPSRC and the City Agriculture Office and the Kalasag- Makiling Arch of Santa Rosa City Eagles Club.
The City of Agriculture Office donated 10 mango trees, 10 rambutan trees, 10 guyabano trees, 10 yambo trees, and 8 jackfruit trees.
The community service program was attended by PUP-SRC faculty and administrative employees headed by Campus Director, Dr. Marisa Baybay, City Agriculture Office Head Mr. Joselito Batitis, and the Aspirants of KMASRCEC led by the Club Vice President, Mr. Vermideo Galicia and Club Adviser Mr. Danilo Parba.
