The PUP Open University System (PUP-OUS) through the Institute of Continuing Professional Development (ICPD) has conducted the third leg of the workforce training titled Finding Balance: National Training on Coping with Stress and Job Burn-Out held on June 21 and 22, 2018 at the Bulwagang Bonifacio, Ninoy Aquino Library and Learning Resource Center, PUP Sta. Mesa.
Topics covered included the causes, effects, and ways on how to deal with stress and burn-out at work; and introduction of Yoga as a way to cope up with stress.
The discussions were facilitated by Assistant Registrar Dr. Flordeliza E. Alvendia, the former guidance counselor of the university; Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services’ faculty assistant Prof. John Mark N. Nero; and Prof. Marvin Lobos.
The training was attended by participants from Bukidnon State University, Philippine Nuclear Research Institute, and different branches of Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
