Mr. Yson Karl Dañez from the PUP College of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment (CADBE) won “Best in Green Innovation Award” for the Architecture category in the Asian Young Designers Award (AYDA) 2020.
Dañez’s winning entry titled “ESKINITA,” a prototype Filipino Above-The-Road Neomarket, aimed to create a centralized street market unit by taking advantage of the space above the road. It also aims to give a platform for street vendors and booming small businesses to grow especially amidst the pandemic. Eskinita aspires to redefine and reinvent the 21st century Filipino street culture as empathic, innovative, sustainable, and world-class.
The Asia Young Designer Awards is a premier award across different countries in Asia for emerging Architecture and Interior Design students, which aims to inspire students to be more innovative, creative and socially involved, motivating them to a higher degree of professionalism.
Congratulations, Yson Danez! Your PUP family is proud of you!
