A seminar aimed at raising future educators’ awareness on ethics and social responsibility was conducted at the Tanghalang PUP last March 25. The activity was initiated by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESED) of the College of Education (CoEd) through the Bachelor in Elementary and Secondary Teaching Society (BEST Society).
One Filipino and three American preachers from the International Mission Foundation – Dr. Timothy Nolan, Dr. John Arche, Rev. Sean Tabb and Bishop Fernando De Vega – spoke at the seminar together with Dr. Feliciano Trongco of the Department of Education-National Capital Region (DepEd-NCR) and Prof. Roseller Luciano of the PUP Community Relations and Extension for Development Office (CREDO).
Each seminar participant donated two composition notebooks in lieu of seminar fee. The collected items will be donated to the victims of ‘Yolanda’ through the CREDO.
Meanwhile, former DESED Chairperson Dr. Ma. Junithesmer D. Rosales received an award of recognition from the Arkansas International Mission (AIM) Foundation.
