A total of 932 graduates of the 111-year-old Polytechnic University of the Philippines marched at the PUP Gymnasium in Sta. Mesa, Manila during the December 11, 2015 mid-year commencement exercises.
Tanglaw ng Bayan awardee and EastWest Bank head Antonio C. Moncupa Jr. witnessed the conferment of undergraduate and graduate degrees to the mid-year Class of 2015.
Norbert Lingling D. Uy, now a Master in Educational Management graduate, petitioned for the conferment of degrees. Lynly P. De La Cuesta, who earned a Doctor in Business Administration degree, delivered a thanksgiving speech as the representative of the graduating class.
University Registrar Dr. Zenaida R. Sarmiento said the PUP Sta. Mesa, Manila-based Colleges of Accountancy and Finance, Architecture and Fine Arts, Arts and Letters, Business Administration, Computer and Information Sciences, Communication, Education, Engineering, Human Kinetics, Political Science and Public Administration, Science, Social Sciences and Development, and Tourism, Hospitality and Transportation Management had 454 graduates.
The PUP Open University System produced 158 graduates; PUP Graduate School, 74; College of Education Graduate Studies, 24; College of Law, 3; PUP Sta. Rosa, 79; PUP Taguig, 32; PUP San Pedro, 30; PUP Sta. Maria, 21; PUP San Juan, 20; PUP Biñan, 16; PUP Sto. Tomas, 14; PUP Maragondon, 6; and PUP Lopez, 1.
University officials, members of the Board of Regents, deans, directors, chairpersons, and faculty members witnessed the graduation rites.
