To better equip its career development programs, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) joined this year’s cohort of Science, Technology, Research, and Innovation for Development (STRIDE) Career Training Program. The nine-day training session will run from November 9 to December 14, with members of the PUP Career Center Team as primary participants.
Capacity-building activities under STRIDE include face-to-face sessions; university-based visits and workshops; remote, virtual consultation and progress monitoring; and co-organized activities related to career center strategies. In the coming years, PUP envisions the establishment of the PUP Career Center (PCC) which would serve as the foremost student counselling and resource center for career development.
Program partners include the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and RTI International. The Alumni Relations and Career Development Office (ARCDO) spearheads PUP’s participation in this endeavor. #
