Broadcasting student Ma. Joselie Garcia has been shortlisted in Nespresso Talents Philippines 2021.
Nespresso Talents competition is an annual commemoration of the works of creative filmmakers all around the globe. This unique vertical filmmaking contest is now in its sixth year.
According to Garcia, her video entry was originally her final requirement in her course subject, Non-Linear Postproduction of Content for Broadcasting, Interactive and Emerging Media under the supervision of Prof. James Harvey Estrada. Through the help of her former schoolmate in Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Media Arts Mr. Ian Palomar they decided to collaborate and enter the contest.
Out of 993 filmmakers, the third-year broadcasting student’s film entry was among the 10 videos accepted by the Philippines jury that is consisted of Ms. Bella Padilla, Director Joey Javier Reyes, Mr. Fabio De Gregorio, Mr. Patrick Pesengco, and Mr. Quark Henares.
The winners in the said competition will be announced on July 9.
