The influence of the Maginhawa Community Pantry initiated by Ana Patricia Non has gone a long way that it has reached the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Santa Maria Bulacan Campus.
Last March 30, the Faculty Association together with the Campus Administrators, Local Government Unit (LGU), Alumni Association, and Student Organizations set up the beginning of its version of community pantry dubbed as "Lingap Komunidad: Mula Sa’yo, Para sa Bayan Community Pantry."
It is a product of the desire of the Campus to extend its hand to the PUPians whose families were greatly affected by the pandemic. The beginning of the project successfully helped more than 250 students and aims to extend its assistance to more students and barangays nearby.
According to Mr. Joey Tigas, the project head of the community panty, the pantry will remain until their supplies run out. Donations are open for the sustenance of the pantry.
