Andaliza and Coach Joel V. Valencia, and Philippine Women’s Netball Team “SIKLAB” Technical/Assistant Coach Mr. Jose Andres C. Serrano III served as speakers in the event.</p> <p>In their talk, Coach Marcos and Ms. Andaliza shared how the association of Professional Pickleball was established and promoted the vision, mission, and history of Pickleball. Convento, Angelo Acedera, News, Communication Management Office <br/><p>The Polytechnic University of the Philippines retained its ISO certification for four consecutive years since its first certification in 2018 after SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. awarded the University with its ISO 9001:2015 Certification anew.</p> <p>ISO 9001: 2015 is one of the most recognized standards to assure products and service quality. It is awarded to organizations that showcase the ability to meet customer requirements and regulatory obligations through the development of consistent services.</p> <p>The team of auditors led by Mr. Melvin Grueso surveyed the University’s implementation of its quality management system during a two-week virtual surveillance audit in November 2021.</p> <p>This year’s ISO certification is special for the University as all its branches and satellite campuses’ processes were also part of the audit. Among the processes that underwent scrutiny were admission processes, accounting and finance-related services, records management, communication management and coordination, research and extension work, human resource management, and property management.</p> <p>In his message, PUP President Dr. Manuel M. Muhi expressed his gratitude to all employees, staff, and faculty members who took part in the preparation for recertification. “<em>Maraming salamat sa inyong cooperation at muli pong nakuha natin and ISO 9001:2015. Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng magigiting at masisipag na kasamahan natin na naging susi sa pagkamit ng certification na ito</em>,” Muhi said.</p> <p>“<em>Gaya po ng aking sinasabi, gawin po nating araw-araw na gawain ang ISO. The webinar’s purpose was to contribute to the enormous ongoing effort to build a long-term, inclusive, and complete foundation for AI.</p> <p>“Over the past few years we have witnessed a massive expansion in the development and use of digital technologies across societies, economists which in many ways have changed the way we think, work, and live. This digital transformation continues to evolve in unprecedented speed calling for industries, government, and economists to pick up the pace to maximize the benefits of this groundbreaking innovations and technological advances,” said Dr. Anna Ruby Gapasin, Vice President for Research, Extension, Planning, and Development.</p> <p>The University recently created its own Research Institute for Strategic Foresight and Innovation (RISFI) office, which aims to empower the community through futures thinking and strategic foresight. Through active academic interactions and research sharing, the office will act as a hub for futurists, academics, and scholars to communicate and explore ideas.
