Procedure for Copyright Application

Procedure For Copyright Application Through Innovation Technology And Support Office And Intellectual Property And Commercialization Office 

1. Secure an application form from the ITSO (S423) or IPCO (S424). Forms are downloadable at the National Library of the Philippines website, www.nlp.gov.ph. Note that copyright application of engineering, and science and technology documents shall be handled by ITSO. All the rest shall be coursed through the IPCO.
2. Accomplish  the Application Form and the Affidavit on Copyright Co-Ownership with PUP, in typewritten and triplicate copies.
3. Have the accomplished form duly notarized.
4. Secure Referral Slip for Payment at the Accounting Office.
5. Pay the amount of P400.00 to the PUP Cashier's Office.
6. Submit duplicate copies of the following documents:

   • 6.1 Copyright Application & Affidavit Form, duly notarized (2 original, 2 photo copies).

   • 6.2 Copy of the document (in printed or electronics format) 3 copies.

   • 6.3 Notarized Affidavit of Copyright Co-ownership with PUP.

   • 6.4 Technical description of the design, if the work applied for registration is  an original ornamental design (classification H);

   • 6.5 Official Receipt of filing fee from the PUP Cashier's Office (1 original, 1 photo copy).

7. Get the Certificate of Copyright Registration at the ITSO/IPCO on the specified date.
