The BTLED, a four-year program, is geared towards producing highly competent technology and livelihood education professionals who meet the standards set by Philippine TVET-Trainers-Assessors Qualifications Framework (PTTQF).
It considers the role of technology and entrepreneurship in societal economic growth through the instillation of creative and critical thinking skills; values of self-reliance, independence, culturally sensitive practices, ethical values, technological skills and other adequate and relevant competencies in the area of technology and livelihood education specifically those who intend to teach grades 4 to 8 students.
The Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) is a four-year program designed to produce graduates with a critical and creative understanding of the development, deployment, and management of information resources in print, non-print, electronic and digital formats, and services in the Philippines and around the world.
The program provides a quality and comprehensive understanding of the theoretical, principles, and actual practices of librarianship delivered in conservative and digital modalities. The program also aims to develop and train students to become ethical, innovative, independent, resilient, and communicatively competent library professionals.
A BLIS degree holder is expected to be equipped with relevant 21st-century skills and leadership skills that emulate strong service organizations responsive to the requirements of different work settings in public, special, academic, and school libraries, and the emerging industries where library and information services are deemed necessary.
Graduates of this program are likewise expected to be able to systematically organize, conserve, preserve and restore information objects, historical and cultural documents, and other intellectual properties.
The program was anchored on the Guidelines for Professional Library/Information Education Programs authored by the Hague-based International Federation of the Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), the leading international body representing people's interests who rely on libraries and information professionals which aim to produce graduates that is full of people ardent in providing positive change in the country, ASEAN and the world.
The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd) is a four-year program that aims to produce nationally and globally responsive early childhood educators who are equipped with the necessary 21st century pedagogical knowledge, skills, and attitudes specifically with fundamental understanding and application of the principles of child development, as well as experience in the application of theories, methods, strategies, and techniques in order to function in a dynamic, flexible, and meaningful learning environment.
The Bachelor of Elementary Education is a four-year program that focuses on preparing excellent elementary educators that can acquire a holistic understanding of their role as Teacher professionals, and active members of the community and as global citizens responsible for reflective classroom practice in elementary schools. This course prepares students in the areas of literacy, mathematics, social studies, and science to create classroom environments that stimulate young students’ curiosity and engage their intellects in ways that directly foster high achievement that specialized in knowledge of education technology. The principles of diversity, democracy, authenticity, academic rigor and accountability are integrated into the elementary education pedagogy courses.
The BSEd program is a four-year course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English. It is an excellent preparation for the English Language Arts teachers and for advancement in any field in which communication skills are important to ensure that knowledge is well transferred to students while addressing the glocal needs of English language learning. Courses offered for the major emphasizes critical and creative thinking, effective communication, innovation in language teaching and assessment, passion for lifelong learning and teaching, leadership and organizational skills, personal and professional ethics as teachers, resilience and agility, and national and global responsiveness.
The Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics is a four-year undergraduate program designed to meet the country’s need for teachers and to equip them with adequate and relevant competencies to teach mathematics in the secondary level. This program aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for secondary education and to produce globally competitive mathematics educators by providing them with the theoretical insights, specialized knowledge of education technology, teaching- learning applications, and integration of values towards responsible and dynamic leadership in schools and communities that will enhance their professional and personal development, and will equip them with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The BSED major in Science (BSED SC) is an educational program that aims to develop students' technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge and skills in the fields of Sciences; Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space, and Physics, in accordance with national and international standards. The combination of theoretical and practical courses delivered via a variety of modalities, including indigenous and digital education, will develop professional, ethical, inclusive, innovative, independent, resilient, and patriotic science specialists capable of responding to the challenges of 21st century teaching and learning. The BSED SC inculcates a strong service orientation and organizational skills and attitude that are timely and relevant in a variety of work settings, including the academe, science and education research institutions, and institutions that develop science education policy, curriculum and instructional resources.
Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Filipino (BSEd FL)
Ang Batsilyer ng Edukasyong Pansekundarya – Medyor sa Filipino ay apat na taong programang pang-akademiko na layuning humubog ng mga guro na may kakayahang tumugon sa pambansa at pandaigdigang kahingian. Hangarin ng programang maglaan ng sapat at makabuluhang kasanayan sa pagtuturo ng Filipino sa antas sekundarya na nakatuon sa pagpapahusay sa wika, komunikasyon, panitikan at pananaliksik. Layon din ng programa na malinang ang propesyonal at etikal na katangian gamit ang inobatibong pedagohiya alinsunod sa edukasyon sa ika-21 siglo. Pinalalim nito ang mga teoryang pangwika, pampanitikan, at pang- edukasyon tungo sa praktika ng gawaing pampagtuturo.
