Notice of Search for Private Sector Representatives to the PUP Board of Regents

NOTICE OF SEARCH FOR PRIVATE SECTOR REPRESENTATIVES TO THE PUP BOARD OF REGENTS

The Board of Regents of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines formally and publicly announces the opening of the Search for two (2) Private Sector Representatives.

CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS FOR PRIVATE SECTOR REPRESENTATIVES. Applicants for the PUP Board of Regents Private Sector Representatives must satisfy the following criteria:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Not less than thirty-five (35) years old at the time of application
2. A natural-born Filipino citizen
3. Holder of bachelor’s degree in any field or profession from a reputable higher education institution
4. Not presently holding any position in Government (elective or appointive) or in a school governing board (public or private)
5. Must not have any pending administrative, civil or criminal case in any judicial or quasi-judicial body in the Philippines or abroad and has not been convicted of any administrative offense or crime involving moral turpitude
6. Must not be related to any member of the current PUP Board of Regents and Search Committee for Private Sector Representatives (SC-PSR) within the third degree of consanguinity or affinity
7. Must have an extensive record of employment, business expertise, and connection with the private sector. If the applicant previously worked in any capacity with a government entity or was a consultant in any government undertaking of whatever nature, the proportion of the time the applicant served in government should not exceed one-fourth (1/4) of the entire time served in the private sector.
8. Has made important contribution to and distinguished himself/herself from the industry, profession, or community, and can potentially contribute to the pursuit of the PUP Vision, Mission and Goals
9. Physically fit, willing to travel and can devote ample time in the service of PUP and its Board of Regents.

An applicant who does not meet any one of the abovementioned minimum qualifications and cannot submit pertinent supporting documentary evidences for these minimum qualifications on the set deadline shall be disqualified from the search process.

BASIS FOR EVALUATION OF APPLICANTS

The achievements and contributions of applicants shall be evaluated according to percentages presented in the table below:

DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS. Applicants should accomplish and submit the following:

1. Formal nomination letter and notarized Nomination Form with Nominee’s Conforme.  Nominator and Nominee (Applicant) must jointly accomplish Nomination Form and Conforme (SC-FORM 1) with the Nominator’s formal nomination letter. Nominee (Applicant) should indicate his/her acceptance of the nomination by signing on the designated portion (Conforme) of the notarized nomination form (SC-FORM 1) which can be downloaded from https://bit.ly/PSBOR2022. Formal nomination letter should be addressed to PUP President Dr. Manuel M. Muhi thru University/Board Secretary and SCPSR Secretariat Assoc. Prof. Rolando M. Covero Jr.                            
2. Notarized Sworn Declaration indicating that applicant is not related to any member of the current PUP Board of Regents and Search Committee for Private Sector Representatives within the third degree of consanguinity or affinity. Sworn Declaration Form (SC-FORM 2) can be downloaded from https://bit.ly/PSBOR2022.
3. Notarized Curriculum Vitae (CV) indicating applicant’s personal data, educational qualifications and trainings, work experience, awards/certificates/citations, community or socio-civic affiliations, published works if any
4. Notarized and certified true copy of documents in support of the data/information specified in the Curriculum Vitae
5. Certification/Clearance from NBI, police and institution/office where applicant is presently employed
6. Certification/Clearance from Sandiganbayan or Ombudsman (for former appointive or elected official) or Civil Service Commission (for former government employee)
7. Sworn statement/affidavit indicating that applicant has no pending administrative, civil or criminal case in any judicial or quasi-judicial body in the Philippines or abroad, and not been convicted of administrative offense or any crime involving moral turpitude. 8. Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – authenticated Birth Certificate
9. Medical Certificate of Physical Fitness (valid within six months at the date of nomination) issued by a physician from a DOH-accredited health institution but not the same institution where the applicant is presently employed. Letterhead of hospital or clinic must indicate DOH accreditation number.

The Search Committee for Private Sector Representatives (SCPSR) reserves the right to validate and verify the authenticity of documents submitted, and the right to accept or reject any document that it deems to be questionable.

Interested parties must submit one (1) set of original and four (4) sets of certified true copies of required documents not later than September 30, 2022. Application with supporting documents must be submitted to:
