Description: The Accounting Assistant supports the accounting department by performing clerical and basic accounting tasks. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate financial documentation. The Accounting Assistant supports the accounting department by performing clerical and basic accounting tasks. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate financial documentation. The Accounting Assistant helps ensure that financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports. Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transaction. Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports. Maintain and update accounting databases and filing systems. Assist with bank reconciliations and monitoring company accounts. Support payroll processing and documentation when required. Verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies. Assist in preparing financial statements and reports. Maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documents. Assist during internal and external audits. Perform general administrative duties related to accounting. Coordinate with other departments regarding financial documentation.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 2-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience is preferred.
