Description: Pag-asa Steel seeks a Purchasing Assistant / Analyst who will be responsible for providing support to the Purchasing team for the procurement of goods and services of the right quality, at the right time, from the right supplier, at the right price.
Pag-asa Steel seeks a Purchasing Assistant / Analyst who will be responsible for providing support to the Purchasing team for the procurement of goods and services of the right quality, at the right time, from the right supplier, at the right price.
Duties and Responsibilities: Supporting all activities to ensure the continuous supply of equipment spare parts, material services, and other needs of the manufacturing plant and the offices at the optimal price for the quality needed Securing supplier accreditation documents, updating supplier lists, preparing supplier evaluations, and drafting supplier contracts Preparing requests for quotation, tabulating comparisons, preparing purchase orders, following up and expediting deliveries Calling and visiting suppliers as needed Providing assistance in creation and analysis of purchasing reports Providing assistance in the management of ISO documentation such as risk and opportunity analysis, policies, procedures, work instructions, work standards, and forms Performing other related tasks that may be assigned by supervisor
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant prior experience Prior experience in purchasing, manufacturing, and/or document control preferred Customer service background preferred Familiarity with contract management preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Service orientation, outstanding interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently Project management, risk management, and time management skills Ability to multi-task, adapt, and learn quickly Superior organization skills and attention to detail Strong negotiation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) and email software mandatory, experience with ERP software a plus Drive, motivation, and positive attitude (willingness to accept feedback, learn, and improve) Integrity, excellence, professionalism, and teamwork
