Description: We are looking for a Purchasing Officer to manage and optimize our procurement process. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials and supplies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and negotiation skills to secure the best value for the company while maintaining excellent supplier relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Source and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure the best quality and value. - Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers. - Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of required materials and supplies. - Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies. - Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and pricing. - Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms. - Ensure compliance with legal and company procurement policies. - Resolve any issues related to delayed deliveries, damaged goods, or payment discrepancies.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. -At least 2-3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role. - Strong negotiation and communication skills. - Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. - Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). - Familiarity with supply chain management and market research. - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
