Description: Pag-asa Steel seeks Accounting staff who will assist in the accurate and timely management of accounting records, in accordance with general accounting principles, control procedures, and company policies. The Accounting Staff will report to the Accounting Supervisor. Experienced candidates may be considered for supervisory positions.
Pag-asa Steel seeks Accounting staff who will assist in the accurate and timely management of accounting records, in accordance with general accounting principles, control procedures, and company policies. The Accounting Staff will report to the Accounting Supervisor. Experienced candidates may be considered for supervisory positions.
Duties and Responsibilities: Maintaining and verifying various ledger accounts and ensuring compliance of financial reports with government regulatory requirements Posting journal entries, maintaining records, and generating reports for accounts including but not limited to receivables, payables, inventory, cash, payroll, etc. Summarizing, encoding, and reconciling records pertaining to key accounts and recording adjustments as required Processing payments to various suppliers and agents and monitoring accounts payable Preparing and handling vouchers and checks payable Processing and verifying government contributions, taxes, and loan payments and acting as a liaison to relevant agencies, including but not limited to the BIR and local municipal government offices Monitoring inventory of strategic and administrative items and creating related reports Preparing purchase requisitions for administrative items and other Finance-related requests Monitoring and controlling interdepartmental documents including sales invoices, delivery receipts, weighing tags, provisional receipts, and official receipts Performing other related tasks that may be assigned by supervisor
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in general accounting work Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Superior organization skills and attention to detail Interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently Ability to multi-task, adapt, and learn quickly Strong records management, project management and time management (prioritization) skills Telephone etiquette and proper office decorum Drive, motivation, and positive attitude (willingness to accept feedback, learn, and improve) Integrity, excellence, professionalism, and teamwork Computer proficiency Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) mandatory
