Eng'g prof admitted as member in UK-based Institution of Railway Signal Engineers

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) College of Engineering part-time faculty member Engr. John R. Dela Cruz has been admitted as an Associate Member of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE) on March 15, 2021.

IRSE is a United Kingdom (UK)-based Professional Institution for all professionals engaged in or associated with railway signaling and telecommunications, train control, traffic management, and allied professions. IRSE is recognized by the Engineering Council of the UK.

Currently, Engr. Dela Cruz serves as an Assistant Professorial Lecturer IV at the Department of Computer Engineering, College of Engineering. He is also an Associate ASEAN Engineer, conferred by the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO) and an Engineer and Electronic Systems Team Lead for the North-South Commuter Railway Extension Project, under the Department of Transportation (DOTr).

Engr. Dela Cruz is the second faculty member of the PUP College of Engineering who was admitted to the prestigious railway institution, the first of which is Engr. Richard Paul Nahe, also a part-time faculty member at the Department of Electronics Engineering.
